Thanks to its programme, the Humboldt Forum loctated at the Baukademie:https://www.gslive.de/bauakademie/.  Located right in the opposite of the future Humboldt Forum and right next to the Foreign Ministry, which is organizing the "Long Night of Ideas". During the "Long Night of Ideas" various events will take place in the city center of Berlin. The ideas stand by the slogan: Moving people - What is moving people, why, when and how?

With the Humboldt Forum, a whole new cultural district is being created in the very heart of the city. It represents an approach that brings together diverse cultures and perspectives and seeks new insights into topical issues such as migration, religion and globalization.

Thanks to its programme, the Humboldt Forum is already offering visitors an opportunity to experience the world in its entirety. What awaits them is a series of exhibitions, films and discussions with specialists and commentators on science, art, religion, politics and business exploring the day’s burning questions. It is planned to open the building with the first exhibitions and its programme by the end of 2019. Until then we have events throughout the city to give insights in the future Humboldt Forum.

About the Documentary

Synopsis

Only a handful of  Native American fluent speakers remain of the Omaha Tribe. Fluent speaking elders reflect on growing up speaking their native language,  the efforts that was taken from outsiders to phase it out and why it is so important to preserve it. Hopefulness is expressed by the elders and a dedicated group of educators attempts to keep their language alive.
